Leah and Karla stopped by to visit Grandpa on Sunday.
Grandpa was excited to see the girls. After saying goodbye he then came "Running" down the hall as he decided he could Walk them to the door for more Goodbye's.

Great Northern Union Chorus 2008 Season Finale Concert with Hot Air Buffoons and Vocaliy!


  Great Northern Union Chorus to present Season Finale Concert with comedy quartet The Hot Air Buffoons

Minneapolis, MN- The Great Northern Union Chorus (GNU) will present their final concert of their 2008 season by inviting comedy quartet The Hot Air Buffoons and 2007 LOL District Quartet Champion Vocality to the stage.

Two concerts will be presented and are set for Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 1 and 7pm at beautiful Benson Great Hall at BethelUniversity, 3900 Bethel Drive, St. Paul, MN.  Tickets are $10-$35 and available online at ticketworks.com, phone at 651-209-6689, or email tickets@gnunion.com.  Senior, student, and group discounts are available.

The Hot Air Buffoons rein from the greater Ohio area and were founded in 1996 with a mission to entertain audiences through music and comedy. In 2001 the Hot Air Buffoons earned grand champion honors at the Buckeye Invitational Comedy Quartet Competition in Columbus, OH, and launched the quartet into national recognition as the Barbershop Harmony Society's premiere comedy quartet.  The Buffoons perform nationwide and are known for their comedic singing antics, creative skits, and side splitting singing performances.   

The Great Northern Unionis an internationally recognized, 70 member auditioned men's a cappella chorus based in the TwinCitiesand draws members from the tri-state area.  Founded in 1985, the GNU delivers an emotionally charged message through music that has earned them awards both regionally and nationally.  Most recently, the GNU competed at the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) Land O' Lakes Division Chorus Contest in Appleton, WI, where they were crowned chorus champions and earned a trip to the BHS International Convention in Anaheim, CA next July.  The GNU posted the highest score ever recorded at a Land O' Lakes District Competition and the third highest score nationwide among BHS chorus competitors.    

The 2008 Season Finale concert is the final of four collaboration concerts which included the talents of LutherCollege Norsemen, St. Olaf Viking Choir, Marcoux Corner, Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir with Robert Robinson, and youth gospel quartet 4Given.    

The GNU is directed by Peter Benson.
